As the Lean Horse team skirmishes with the Mariemaia Army on Luna 2, the Argama team is currently waiting as the ship refuels. Masaki asks to fly solo toward South Atalia Island to look for clues on Shu's location - he's got a score to settle with him after all. Meanwhile Koji and Sayaka have an off screen skirmish with the Titans over at the Tesla Leight Institute, who buckle at the sight of Mazinger Z because Koji is a good egg.

Turns out Masaki going to South Atalia was a good thing, as it's [also] under Titans occupation. The R-Series machines are currently under storage here and the Titans want them, as the SRX was a total game changer during the Balmar War, but Kenzo Kobayashi tells him to stuff it. While the SRX Team and some others are currently under the Titans' thumb, the Skull Squadron breaks free from said thumb and makes some noise to buy time until Masaki shows up. Koji and Sayaka even detect Masaki's signal and follow him for good measure.

The Titans send out Ryusei, Rai, and the Burning MS squad to stop them, else Bright and Burning who are being held hostage will get the axe. So a big game of Chicken is played until Bask gets bored and comes out to fight himself with Irm, figuring that they'll have the upper hand. Indeed, Irm does turn the tide...
