Skip to 5:32 if you don't wanna hear my preamble.
====
Yeah, I'm just as surprised as you are.
Back when my YouTube channel was in its infancy in 2007, I was into ROM Hacking FE7. I made a vanilla reskin of FE7 featuring different characters, ranging from characters from other IPs to OCs and I even put myself in it, some dude who has a hopeless crush on Linoan of FE5. Despite my general lack of skill in art and its fanficcy nature, people were interested when I uploaded my progress to YouTube and kept pushing me onward to finishing it. I call this one Fire Emblem 404.
I then made three others that weren't as "successful" due to varying reasons.
My preamble covers the details, but one of the major takeaways from this trek was making original characters and learning on how to build upon them over time, and every one of my ROM hacks has OCs of mine to some extent. And now someone has brought them together for one more dance.
BBHood217 has been a fan of my work since the beginning and has made a fangame using a custom GBAFE styled engine that features my OCs in a short 11 chapter game as a tribute to my efforts. They've also been meaning to get some feedback to improve the core experience and, I figure I may as well step up to bat. While it has caught me flatfooted, I feel like this is a good a time as any to reflect on my past and illuminate all of you to what these little bad blobs of pixels mean to me.
I am the Rayonis.
Now hear me roar.
