MLB The Show 19 released which means that there is a revamped Road to the Show mode. One of the most notable things is the Personality feature, which allows you to select a certain type of personality as your main choice, which helps you earn certain Perks.

This replaces the traditonal Perk system. In turn, you have the opportunity to fill up the meter for the Personality of your choice and unlock certain Perks for it.

There are four Personality choices: Captain, Lightning Rod, Heart & Soul, and Maverick. You can pick three of them, but one will be your main selection, hence giving you a head start with your boosts.

There are also some different archetypes as well. Hitters can choose between Small Ball, Mr. Utlity, Anomaly, and Pure Power.

Pitchers can pick between Flamethrower, Plain Filthy and Control Freak for their archetypes. This applies to both starting pitchers and closers.
