275So here's the fourth song in my out-of-nowhere mane 6 album. :P This one's Pinkie, and I went in a very different direction than people were expecting. (I know it sounds depressing at the start, but trust me, it picks up. ^^)

All I see is a dull wash of grey, every single day, but I know it's okay.
Nothing but rocks for as far as I can see, I know other ponies will agree, this isn't right for me.
A bright pink coat and shining blue eyes, they don't fit in a place so dry; underneath a pale, dead sky.
A feeling inside me burning so strong, the urge to jump and burst into song, why have I been taught that's wrong?
But I'm waiting for my real life to kick in,
To find a place where everypony wears a great big grin.
I know it's out there, and this might come as a shock,
But I don't wanna spend the rest of my days on this farm, mining rock!
Find me a smile on a filly playing in the summer sun,
Or give me a day where the only thing to do is laugh, and jump, and run.
I'm done with sitting and waiting for my heart to decay,
So maybe someday soon I'll get away from the grey.
Look Mom, look Dad, I know that you love me, but this pony was meant to party, Pinkamena's turned to Pinkie.
Maybe we could find a way to talk, don't keep the laughter under lock, in this safe of endless rock.
There's a new place out there shining so bright, I know it's different but it feels right, I've got the stage -- I just need the light.
It's my destiny -- my cutie mark's got it planned, So I'll set out tomorrow across the land, I don't know where I'm going, but I know it's some place grand.
So I'll quit waiting for my real life to kick in,
I'll find that place where everypony wears a great big grin.
I know it's out there, so I'm putting hoof to ground,
I'll write you when I'm laughing, when my destiny's been found.
I don't care where the journey takes me, I'll travel all around,
