Model Train Tutorial: Adding Weight To The Hornby Class 92 | HD
3Here is my model train tutorial of adding weight to the lightweight Hornby Class 92 to improve its traction capabilities which will cost less that £20 for the parts and there is enough material to do two models at least. I used liquid weight and roket hot super glue for the main work and black tack and kapton tape for upgrade. The latter is used to isolate the circuit board from the metal floor that is created and it takes a couple of hours to do. Do make sure to leave the bodyshell off the model for 12-14 hours or overnight to make sure the fumes from the glue has completely displaced. Otherwise you will get fog on the glazing areas if you do not do this. Hope this guide will help someone in the hobby and I wanted to share my skills and ideas with those that want to improve their model of the Hornby Class 92.
