Modern Warfare 2 Still crashing? MW2 crash fix and Activision responds
31The last MW2 crash fix helped a few and some not, so while Modern Warfare 2 is still crashing I wanted to check all the social media and try to help get some of these mw2 bugs addressed and fix any that we can until Activision finally fixes their game and lets us actually have a pleasant gaming experience. I'm not the developer which sometimes I think some of you think I am, I just try to find the common modern warfare 2 crashes and post what I have seen work, and add fixes that people may have tried and reported have worked for them. Some of the most common errors right now are 0x00001337(0)N, 0x00001338(0)N, and 0xc0000005(0)N there is no shortage of them Activision has responded via Twitter that these issues have been addressed and players should see an "improved" game? with that means, I don't know lol.
For those that need to scan and repair modern warfare 2 here are the instructions for both Steam and Battle.net
Battle.net
-Click on the Modern Warfare Icon
-Locate the Gear Button located right next to “Play.”
-Now, click “Scan and Repair” and then click “Begin Scan.”
-The launcher will now start looking for any broken or corrupted files.
Steam
-Open Steam and click on the Library tab.
-Right-click on MW2 and select Properties.
-Click on the Local Files tab then click on the Verify Integrity of Game Files… button.
-Steam will start verifying the game files and will fix any corrupted ones it finds.
