Shoutout to ChronikCarlos, Milanzzo, and redknightalex for joining parties or coming online during failed attempts before this run!

After many tries at the bonus challenge "Finish 1st while Avoiding All Blockers" on Tour 5's Rush Hour Rampage track I finally got a cool run without hitting "blockers" - meaning traps set up along the track. Hitting walls and other racers is okay...
I ended up beating my best lap time by more than 5 seconds without trying, as I was playing the track more carefully so as not to hit things!

Notes:
Your shield is useless against all blockers. Even driving through fire with the shield on will fail the challenge.
...Except for the standing red TNT barrels (not the later launched ones) for some reason. It's essential to use the shield around 30 seconds into the race - the AI is drawn to those barrels like magnets.
Also hitting the spinning blue wheel after the first left curve is okay and won't affect anything. Not quite sure why as I'd consider that a trap.
