Modtown 2004 - The 2014 Trailer
In 2004 a group of modders came together to do something that had never been done before, and has rarely been done since. They came from all walks of life, each skilled in a different area of expertise, and together they built a monument to a modding community for a game they all loved. Like a time capsule from a different era, they captured the essence of Morrowind modding as it was in 2004 and immortalized their names across the span of modding history.
Over a decade later their work can still be played, a product produced not by any organized mod team, but a community that came together to celebrate their collective creativity, and that product came to be known as Modtown 2004. As we approach the last fading days of 2014, a decade after that fateful release which was elected to the PES Hall of Fame in 2006, we find that no one has accomplished anything similar since.
After a decade, the Morrowind Modding Community is still going strong, so is it not time to bring back the same level of cooperation and development of ideas that created Modtown 2004? Are we not still alive and active to this day? Perhaps 2015 will be the year we finally bring back the Modtowns, where we can come together, modders and non-modders alike, and build something worth the test of time.
Let's make 2015 a year of creativity and cooperation, let's make this the year that we all leave our mark on Morrowind modding history to celebrate this great game and this amazing hobby we all enjoy so much!
