Monopoly | Part 1 [Livestream]
Monopoly is a multiplayer economics-themed board game. In the game, players roll two dice to move around the game board, buying and trading properties and developing them with houses and hotels. Players collect rent from their opponents and aim to drive them into bankruptcy.
There have been numerous Monopoly video games based on the core game mechanics of Parker Brothers and Hasbro's board game Monopoly. They have been developed by numerous teams and released on multiple platforms over 35+ years.
The term "monopoly" comes from the Greek words μόνος and πολίαν, which mean "single" and "to sell".
A monopoly is a market structure where a single entity controls the production or sale of a product or service, limiting competitors' ability to enter the market. Monopolies can be found in many industries, including transportation, utilities, communication, and natural resources.
A monopoly is a market structure that consists of a single seller or producer and no close substitutes. A monopoly limits available alternatives for its product and creates barriers for competitors to enter the marketplace. Monopolies can lead to unfair consumer practices. They are discouraged in free-market economies.
