Moonbreaker is a new released Turn-based strategy game that attempts to digitalize the tabletop experience, and it's mostly successful. The joy of seeing your miniatures move around the board and taking out other miniatures is exhilarating. Moonbreaker provides different captains and units, each with its abilities and other elements that affect your strategy. All the units are unlocked from the start, so no need to waste time slowly and painfully unlocking everything like a lot of other games. The single-player is fun, challenging, and a good way to learn all the units. I lost the last tutorial in part because I wasn’t paying attention to summoning my minis when I had the currency to do so, and in part because I didn’t really understand the rules of the game. Each battlefield is comprised of elements which can reduce visibility, making ranged attacks difficult, or medium or total visibility blockers. The last two also serve as obstacles which minis must circumvent in order to get into attack position. Add to this the fact that minis themselves act as obstacles, and suddenly position of your team members is everything. I got my team all bunched up so they couldn’t really navigate, which allowed the AI to surround me and keep me penned in while they took all of the capture points. Making matters far, far worse, I learned the hard way that there is friendly fire. Awesome game i will for sure play again. Hope you enjoy my video.
