Thinking about these puzzle mechanics at a high level, I note that the state space of this game is rather high commitment. Relatively small state spaces to explore where very few moves are reversible. The number of operations involved in the solve path is always pretty small (so far!), but when each operation restricts so many possibilities, it's hard to predict what will end up being viable.
