Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a 2005 action-adventure beat 'em up video game developed and published by Midway for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox . It is a spin-off of the Mortal Kombat fighting. The game is not part of the original fighting game series, but is considered by series creator and game director Ed Boon to be a fuller beginning to the series' history and the definitive version of events that took place between the first two games in the series. series, which can be considered a tiny reboot.
