In Part 54 of our Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough on Insanity difficulty, we complete Mordin’s loyalty mission, as we search for Mordin’s former protégé Maelon and try to rescue a missing Krogan scout from the hands of Clan Weyrloc. ► Full Playlist: https://goo.gl/3HanEu

It’s time for Mordin’s loyalty mission! After learning that Blood Pack mercenaries have captured Mordin’s former student Maelon, we set out to find the Salarian in an old hospital occupied by Clan Weyrloc. We fight our way past Krogan, Vorcha, Varren, and Klixen to reach the hospital entrance where we quickly grab a Combustion Manifold for Clan Urdnot’s mechanic before heading inside. Mordin’s belief in the Genophage starts to shake as we uncover that the Krogan have started cruel experiments to find a cure. Eventually, we face Clan Weyrloc’s chief Guld, but even he can’t stop us from reaching the lab. Inside, we find Maelon – unharmed and working on a Genophage cure. It seems like Mordin’s former assistant has started working for the Krogan and we now have a choice to make: Do we keep the research data or do we destroy it?

In this 100 percent Completionist Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough, we will beat all Mass Effect 2 missions and assignments on Insanity difficulty. The Walkthrough includes all main and side missions as well as all available storyline DLC packs for Mass Effect 2. This also includes all loyalty missions for our squad members, including those recruited as part of a DLC. Since this is a 100 percent Completionist Walkthrough of Mass Effect 2, we will also complete and unlock all Mass Effect 2 achievements, including the DLC achievements. As part of this Walkthrough, we will also complete all research projects for Commander Shepard, the squad, the ship, and the various weapons in the game. This also includes all Normandy upgrades that can be installed on the Normandy SR-2. Additionally, we will also scan and mine all planets in Mass Effect 2 – and visit those we can land on.

This full Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough will be completed on Insanity difficulty, the highest difficulty setting in Mass Effect 2. On Insanity difficulty, enemies will be deadly and aggressive, have extra protection, and frequently use tech and biotic powers. Taking on larger groups of enemies on insanity difficulty requires careful planning and a lot of strategy which will therefore be featured heavily, making this walkthrough a Mass Effect 2 Insanity Guide.

As we proceed through this Walkthrough of Mass Effect 2 on Insanity difficulty, we will also focus on unlocking every single achievement in the game. Unlike in Mass Effect 1, only a single playthrough of Mass Effect 2 is required to unlock all achievements. Paired with Insanity difficulty, the achievements provide an extra challenge for this Mass Effect 2 Walkthrough. In Part 1 of the Walkthrough, we already start things off by unlocking the Missing in Action achievement, the first of 62 achievements in Mass Effect 2.

The morality system in Mass Effect 2 has been tweaked and alternating between Paragon and Renegade choices now comes with a penalty. Instead, either Paragon or Renegade should be focused on, safe for the occasional exception. For this reason, this is also a Paragon Walkthrough of Mass Effect 2: Paragon options and interruptions in dialogue will be used frequently and Commander Shepard will follow the Paragon path whenever possible.

Mass Effect 2 is a science fiction action role-playing game developed by BioWare. The game was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows PCs. Mass Effect 2 is the successor to the first Mass Effect game and continues to storyline of Commander Shepard in his fight against the Reapers. Several gameplay mechanics have been changed in Mass Effect 2, including the introduction of ammunition, new powers and weapons, and an overhaul to the Paragon and Renegade morality system. Mass Effect 2 has been praised for those improvements and received critical acclaim for its characters and storytelling.
