Video Description:
Morrowind's Abandoned Projects is a new series dedicated to looking at the forgotten and never finished mods of Morrowind, uploaded and left for dead by their authors, still to this day in an incomplete state. The goal of this series is to bring renewed attention and interest to these once promising and fruitful projects, and hopefully someone, or someones, will take the time to one day bring these mods to a fully finished state.

Today we're taking a look at the legendary Frankenfell, a massive landmass mod that's nearly 1/3rd the size of Vvardenfell, first released as an early alpha in 2005, and presumably abandoned in 2005 as well. The creation of Nick & Bob Smolders, Frankenfell is a sort of old-school landmass, with more traditional RPG designs typical of role-playing games from the 90s, as opposed to the overly hand-crafted nature of Morrowind. You'd be forgiven for noticing some Ultima and Daggerfall influences here, as indeed, the towns and cities of Frankenfell have more in common with those games than really Morrowind. While much of the northern areas of Frankenfell is technically complete, a good 2/3rds of the island remains completely unfinished, with little to no actual work done on landscaping, so the project, in its current state, is really quite the endeavor, and it'll take probably a full team of modders and hundreds upon hundreds of development hours to get it to a finished state. Ignoring that, however, Frankenfell is simply an interesting bit of modding history, and there's certainly some rather interesting designs here.
