Mortal Kombat 1 ALL SUB ZERO / BI-HAN Character Cutscenes (Kaiji Tang)
Bi-Han (Chinese: 壁寒), once known as Noob Saibot and the Elder Sub-Zero, is a Lin Kuei assassin in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. As the Wraith Noob Saibot, he has been a recurring antagonist in the series, following others on the side of evil while serving as a major antagonist towards his younger brother and Hanzo Hasashi.
Bi-Han made his debut as one of the few original characters in the first Mortal Kombat game as the original Sub-Zero (Chinese: 絶対零度 Absolute Zero?), a mantle later passed down to his younger brother Kuai Liang after his death. He later reappears as the Elder Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat (2011).
Bi-Han made his debut as Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat II as a secret character, a role he takes on in many games after before making his playable debut in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. However, the identity of Noob Saibot being Bi-Han was not established until Mortal Kombat: Deception. He reappears as Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat (2011) and Mortal Kombat 11.
A new version of Bi-Han returns in Mortal Kombat 1 once again under the Sub-Zero mantle while serving as an antagonist in the game's Story Mode.
Before his death, Bi-Han was the original Sub-Zero, one of the most powerful and devout warriors of the Lin Kuei clan. While essentially neutral, he was a cold-blooded, vicious assassin whose soul had become corrupted from years of violence and remorseless killing.
At the end of the first Mortal Kombat tournament, Bi-Han was murdered by Scorpion in retaliation for his own death at the cryomancer's hands. He then descended to the fifth plane of the Netherrealm where he was resurrected by the necromancer sorcerer Quan Chi, who had earlier resurrected Scorpion as well. The evil within Bi-Han's soul was released by stripping him of pride, compassion, and everything else that made him human.
Eventually reborn in the Netherrealm, now as the shadow wraith Noob Saibot, he becomes the very incarnation of evil. He desires not only to remain in the Netherrealm, but to conquer and rule it. Although he has been seen in the service of evil warlords such as Shinnok and Shao Kahn, his ultimate allegiance is to himself.
In the new timeline, Bi-Han is the rightful successor to be Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, of which he becomes. He is the older brother of Kuai Liang, this timeline's Scorpion, and the adoptive brother of Smoke. After becoming Grandmaster, Bi-Han grows tiresome of being at Liu Kang's side of defending Earthrealm, wishing to help lead it to glory instead. He later betrays his brothers to ally with Shang Tsung and General Shao in exchange for control of the Dragon Army, leading to Scorpion and Smoke leaving the Lin Kuei and starting that timeline's Shirai Ryu.
