2:47 Method 2: Endurance Stage

Guide & Notes
----------------------------
I've included two grinding methods this season; the hourly tower method which gives better XP but may get harder depending on the tower, and the endurance method which gives less XP but remains the same every run. It's up to you which you'd prefer to use, but both are much faster than grinding regular stages.

Start by getting the level 30 God Wave talisman from the Living Forest mesa. You don't need to beat the final invasion boss to get it, it does quite a bit of damage, and it recharges automatically between fights in which it's not used. The talisman can be found right after you use the key item to unlock the gate that leads to the final invasion boss. Keep heading up, across the bridge, until you reach the "Character Trial: Shang Tsung II" stage. Go right from there, then up the stairs past the "Wanna Trade MK Cards??" and the "Kombo Trial: Takeda IV" stages. The talisman is in the locked chest inside the cathedral.

Next, beat the final invasion boss in order to get your hands on the key item needed to break the special soul barriers found on each map. You'll need to get past those barriers to get the Invincible relic.

After beating the final invasion boss (or even before if you prefer), take a moment to reset your stat points by purchasing a White Enenra Core from the vendor at the Wu Shi Academy map. Make sure that your character has 15 points in Special and 25 points in Health because you'll need that to equip the Invincible relic. Put the rest of your stat points into Attack in order to make upcoming fights a lot easier.

Now you can get the Invincible relic by going back to the Flesh Pits map and finding either of the soul barriers (they both lead to the same place). Use the key item you got from the final invasion boss to break the barrier, then follow the path until you find one of two locked treasure chests, right above the "Grandma's Spirit" stage. Open the chest to get the Invincible relic.

As a quick note, the relic works by making all damage go to your meter instead of your health bar, and as long as you're in critical health (1% health remaining) your meter will recharge almost instantly. This makes you pretty much invincible and as long as no health is ever taken from your health bar, it still counts as a flawless victory if you win. This means that you'll pretty much always get the flawless victory bonus rewards at the end of a fight, which is important for the endurance method especially.

From there, I'd suggest that you complete any remaining invasion mode stages that you haven't cleared as most of them will give you a pretty substantial victory XP reward the first time you beat them. Having the Invincible relic and God Wave talisman equipped will make any remaining stages a lot easier, so this is a fast and easy way to grind out a good amount of XP for your fighters and kameos.

Now you can choose a grinding method and whichever you choose, make sure that you have the Invincible relic and God Wave talisman equipped. The relic will ensure that you'll be getting flawless victories, which boosts your bonus XP, and the God Wave talisman is there in case you need a little help beating an opponent quickly. Ending fights with a brutality will award even more bonus XP, so be sure to do that if you're looking for the maximum payout per run, especially with the endurance method.

The tower method is pretty straightforward; just go to the Gateway Portal mesa and follow the path that I took until you reach the hourly tower. This changes every hour and could potentially be harder than what you see in the video, depending on opponents and modifiers, but beating it awards an additional 750 fighter and kameo XP every time.

The endurance method gives less XP but the stage will never change or get more difficult, making it a more consistent way to grind. It's also a good source of currency for those that would like to buy out the seasonal shop or shrine. To get to the stage, go to Shang Tsung's Laboratory and travel to the 2nd vendor near the top of the map. Continue up the stairs from there and you'll reach a soul barrier, which you can break with the key item from the final invasion boss. The endurance stage is right above that, as shown in the video. Thanks for watching!
