Mortal Kombat 11 - Commando Spawn - McFarlane Action Figure Review
30Back again with another Spawn review, this time i ended up finding a Mortal Kombat 11 Commando Spawn out in the stores!
Totally forgot about this figure, and ended up forgetting, i happened to stumble across him on sale. Commando Spawn really impresses me, it was only released about a year ago, but wow, have things have changed with McFarlane Toys with the paint.
Featuring a heavy wash of black paint, every small detail is slathered in a wash that brings out the details in the sculpting, getting into the small cracks in the leather cape, to dirtying up the red armor, bringing the brightness down a little.
Being a Mortal Kombat variant, its a shame we only get the Necroplasm effects for the accessories, but if you can borrow a few items from other spawn figures, Commando Spawn really rocks them very well, with the new modern tactical suit well fitted for ranged weaponry.
Picking up this figure has been a eye opener for me, on just how important that extra coat of paint really helps out these figures pop, McFarlane really needs to bring back the washes!
