A hidden clue from hidden character Reptile in the Courtyard stage. In most of the other versions, Reptile drops down while two characters are about to have a match. Here in the Super Nintendo version, Reptile drops down without two participating fighters around lol.

This version of Mortal Kombat is notorious for not only having no blood and censored finishers (except for Liu Kang, Scorpion and Sonya Blade who retained their original finishers, while Kano's finisher had small changes, and Johnny Cage, Raiden and Sub-Zero got different finishing moves altogether), but also the 8 second controller lag/input delay.
