In this Mortal Kombat X video, we talk about understanding your Team Synergy, as this is very important to ensure that you can win fights more effectively.
Most every card has a passive that benefits in some way. We talk about every Silver and Gold card in the game, as for Bronze's, Monk, Saurian, and Oni are the best three. Sub Zero's gear works on Lin Quei, the Shirai Ryu Kunei, Scorpion's Gear Item, does work on Shirai Ryu.
Passives:
Martial Artists:
Bojitsu Kung Jin - Kung Jin gains power when blocking attacks.
Cryomancer Sub Zero - +30% health for martial artist teammates.
Flaming Fists Liu Kang - On tag in, Liu Kang receives a speed increase, +100% basic damage, and +25% critical chance for 5 seconds.
Grandmaster Sub Zero - Sub-Zero replaces himself with a decoy, evading a fatal blow.
Hat Trick Kung Lao - All martial artist teammates deal +50% critical damage. Kung Lao has +25% critical chance.
Inferno Scorpion - +200% basic damage for 6 seconds, activates on tag.
Injustice Scorpion - +25% damage vs opponents on FIRE.
Ninjitsu Scorpion - +30% attack for martial artists teammates.
Possessed Kenshi - Ambushes opponent on tag in, setting him on fire.
Shaolin Kung Jin - All martial artists teammates start with 1 bar of power.
Shaolin Master Kung Lao - All Bronze teammates receive +300% attack, health, toughness and recovery
Outworld:
Assassin Kitana - Ambushes opponent on tag in with vicious stabs causing bleed. Kitana also generates 20% more power.
Blood God Kotal Khan - Summons a random totem that generates extra damage, healing, or power.
Commando Kano - +25% critical chance. Immune to blind.
Cutthroat Kano - Cutthroat Kano costs less than other gold characters.
Master of Souls Ermac - Starts with 1 bar of power for each outworld teammate.
Mournful Kitana - All outworld teamates start with 1 bar of power.
Nimble Reptile - +30% health for outworld teammates.
Noxious Reptile - The entire team's bleed and poison damage are increased +30%
Spectral Ermac - When a teammate is defeated, gains 50% of their attack and toughness. Max once per match.
Sun God Kotal Khan - +30% attack for outworld teammates.
Swarm Queen D'Vorah - D'Vorah's swarm can inflict multiple effects on the opponent. Immune to poison.
Venomous D'Vorah - D'Vorah's basic attacks do +100% damage per negative effect on the opponent.
Special Ops:
A-List Johnny Cage - +30% health for spec ops teammates.
Balanced Kenshi - All Spec Ops teammates start with 1 bar of power.
Covert Ops Cassie Cage - All Spec Ops teammates have a 25% chance of unblockable attacks.
Demolition Sonya Blade - +30% attack for spec ops teammates.
Stunt Double Johnny Cage - Stunt Double attacks on tag-in, stunning the opponent.
Tactical Sonya Blade - Activates a drone with multiple attack modes: stun, homing blast, detonation.
Netherrealm:
Inferno Scorpion - +200% basic damage for 6 seconds, activates on tag.
Revenant Jax Briggs - Jax and his team gain +15% health for every Netherrealm card on the team.
Revenant Sub Zero - Sub-Zero and his team gain +12% attack for every Netherrealm card on the team.
Warlock Quan Chi - Reanimates a dead teammate with 25% health. Max once per fight.
Thunder God:
Thunder God Raiden - When Raiden tags in, lightning strikes the opponent, removing 20% of their current health.
We also show off some of the useful teams with the Silver cards.
Martial Artist: 11 Gold, 4 Silver, 4 Bronze
Netherrealm: 4 Gold, 0 Silver, 1 Bronze
Outworld: 12 Gold, 6 Silver, 2 Bronze
Special Ops: 6 Gold, 7 Silver, 2 Bronze
Thunder God: 1 Gold, 0 Silver, 0 Bronze
Will the addition of Erron Black, and more Gold variants of Jax, and Jacqui Briggs increase the synergy of Special Ops, which seem a little weak in the Gold category? Is Thunder God always going to be a useless class, or will we see some past kombatants fill this out?
