2Maridia is my favorite area from Super Metroid—the eerie music—the wet, organic environment—the underwater lab full of failed Metroid clones—Draygon’s minions sinking into sand to attack—Draygon’s followers (children?) dancing weirdly as we battle their master. All of that even though the grapple points and quicksand make Maridia the most difficult area to navigate.
