Today marks Round 6 of the Middle of the Pack Racing League (MPRL) GT4 Championship for 2022 as brought to you on iRacing. We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which took place on Wednesday 6th July 2022 with the aim of bringing it to you as if it were live!

In this round the America’s Stage shall reach its conclusion with our drivers headed to the state of Florida for the Daytona International Speedway. Taking specifically to the speedway’s Road Course for the second of the series’ three 45 minute Feature races, our drivers shall need to employ strategy as much as outright pace to win today. The in-field section of the circuit provides our drivers with opportunities to try and break away from the chasing pack thanks to its heavy braking zones and hairpin style corners. However, if they cannot break away, then they will have to expect slipstream orientated battles in the run through the oval bankings; broken up by the tricky bus-stop chicane!

In the PRO class, Edwin Onofre now leads the standings by three points over Jon Lauzon after Lauzon’s misfortunes early in the race last week at Watkins Glen. Onofre’s consistency has been the key to his success with the fast charger of Lauzon seemingly only being held back by poor luck. Will Lauzon return to the top after tonight? Or can Onofre hold onto the top of the championship?

In the AM class, Justin Bragan holds a two point advantage over Fernando Takahashi with the two drivers continuing to be closely matched. Standing 13 points clear of the rest of the field (as led by Jermaine Warren), both Bragan and Takahashi will be looking to have momentum on their side going into the mid-season break, but could one of their other rivals potentially intervene at Daytona?

How will the America’s Stage conclude? Tune in and find out!

Our approximate broadcast schedule for tonight is as follows (times in BST/UTC+1):
1800 Broadcast Starts
1815 Feature Race (45 minutes)
