MSI, please stop adding more cards. Before the RTX 5070 launch, the company had around 10 RTX 5070 models listed, which seemed like a large number of custom models from a single company. Little did we know that MSI was going to add even more variants the very next week, along with some new cards. In addition to the obvious non-OC models that were added, there are now new SHADOW 3X and SHADOW 2X models that were not previously presented. The Shadow 3X features an all-black design from MSI, which we covered in a separate article. What's new is a dual-fan version that was shown for the first time. On paper, the card is essentially a smaller version of the Shadow 3X, featuring two fans instead of three. Even the clock speeds are the same, reaching up to 2557 MHz (through MSI Center software) or up to 2542 MHz out of the box. The Shadow 2X has no RGB, so there's no control over that. Despite the change in cooler size, the card still features the same PCB with a 12V-2×6 power connector and a 2.5- slot thickness.
