Vinnk sent Sean a boxed MSX 2! We show you the unboxing, and compare an original MSX version of King's Knight to the NES version.

The MSX was a gaming hardware standard developed by Microsoft (if you can believe it) and the ASCII corporation in Japan. Like many of the "home computers" of the '70s and early '80s, it was more PC than console. The device played cartridges, but also had a built-in keyboard and ports for typical computer attachments. When Nintendo's Family Computer was released a month after the first MSX console in 1983, the industry was turned completely on its ear. Nonetheless, MSX went on to be an extremely popular platform in Japan. This MSX 2 model contained many hardware updates from the original MSX spec, however the only game Sean had to compare to the NES was an MSX 1 version of King's Knight.
