MTA Long Island Rail Road & Amtrak: Railfanning at Queens, NY in the Heated Weather (June 2nd, 2023)
It's time for Railfanning once more! The weather was scorching hot outside, it felted like a record heat wave outside (Temperatures over 90 Degrees). This was one of the hottest Railfanning event I had ever recorded in the section of Long Island City, Queens.
Unfortunately, I did not capture the LIRR's Cannonball train in this video this year. I attempted to capture train #16 (Formerly as train #2798), but did not capture it this time. Why? Because this heated weather prevented me and this parking lot had no shadows at all. I only caught one M3, most M7s and M9s, a few Amtrak Acela Expresses and Amtrak Northeast Regionals with ACS-64s, and a C3 Cab Car leading with DE30AC to either Hunter point Avenue Station or Long Island City Station, and a work locomotive deadhead either a SW1001 or MP15AC.
Anyways without further review, enjoy this railfanning video.
