[MUGEN] DBZ M.U.G.E.N Edition: A Forgotten Relic - Arcade Gameplay
I almost can't believe that this thing is over 20 years old, this was the very first fangame I ever played and the fact that it was similar to the SNES DBZ games but for free blew my 9 years old mind. I used to carry this game around in a diskette lul.
This version is slightly modified, added more MIDI songs and disabled one character: Krillin, because even though this game runs under the very original DOS M.U.G.E.N, it seems DOS emulators struggle with some things or are incompatible with some Windows 95+ features that the original game expected.
Krillin causes a bug I haven't been able to fix, and the fact that this is a really ancient version of MUGEN means even most of my limited WinMUGEN knowledge is largely invalid. I even learned that this one lacks the ability to give character specific soundtracks.
I remember this being fully compatible on old Windows XP machines, I actually played this game on many of them without a hitch.

You can get this version of the game here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xeToldLDvhFqo4A95ldLn_MKyYNEz5Jk/view?usp=drive_link
The website I originally got this from seems to have been long dead: http://mugenow.mgbr.net/
But you may check it out with webarchive, I think you could even download the original version of the game through it: https://web.archive.org/web/20150822211610/http://mugenow.mgbr.net/
PS: In order to play it I use the DOSBox-Pure core on Retroarch, so that I don't need to engage in CONF file shenanigans as I'd have under regular DOSBox.
