Smash Bros is the definitive platform fighter, maybe even fighting game in general, but there was one that tried to take on the role of competitor: Multiversus. This game was a platform fighter that features characters from various Warner Bros franchises. It launched on July 19th, 2022, to a quite large amount of success. But not even a year after it launched into Beta, it’s going into “temporary shutdown” in 2023. What happened to this game? I played during its final days to try and get an answer.
