Why fight the boss, when you can just bomb? Wham! Boom! Kablow! And just like that, you've got yourself a BL Maniac clear!

So, I realized something while going for this clear. Common wisdom says that Another Version is easier because bosses have less health than Japanese Black Label. However, from my scienceing, that's not actually true. Bosses have exactly the same amount of health, but all of their patterns last longer, so you (usually) don't see as much of the fight as in JP BL. The net effect is the same: the game is a bit easier---except when the patterns you're skipping are easier than the patterns that are drawn out. *cough* LARSA WHAT THE FUCK WHY WON'T THIS END *cough*

So, yeah. Larsa's eternal bullshit patterns aside, this was a pretty chill clear. I think I spent like 5 hours total practicing the hard bits (stage 3 + AV Larsa), and a few hours in full run attempts. It's about on the same level as 1.5 Original. But I gotta admit, Maniac has some fun-ass scoring, even if I don't know how to do it well.

I'll probably take a week or so to have fun with BLAV Maniac before starting on 1.5 Maniac, so I can remember what it feels like to be a god of war with death scarabs at your beck and call. Then, it's on to the next rung of the ladder. Please look forward to it.
