There will be a lot of text in here as its easier to relay the information this way.
You will have seen the pre requisites in terms of what is needed.
These are the steps to take to configure your FMCB card to actually see the SD Adaptor

1. From the following link download both files - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PoG2uuy4mx3-rOR0UvjqDIWlA8w4a5zS
2. Extract OPNPS2LD.7z to your USB memory stick
This is our "base" installation of OPL Playstation loader
3. Extract OPNPS2LD-v1.1.0-Beta-1629-e20f2ee-bdm3.ZIP to your USB Memory stick (Call it OPL BDM3)

Now on to your PS2, with FMCB in mem slot 0 insert the USB stick and power on.
4. You need to load "Launch Elf" im not going to explain how to copy files/folders from USB to your Memory card, you can find videos on this on other YT channels.
5. Copy the OPNPS2LD Folder from the USB drive, (called Mass in launch elf) to the root of your Memorycard (called MC0)
6. Restart your PS2
6. You now need to go to Free Mcboot Configurator and choose configure OSDSYS
7. Go to Configure item and push right (you can edit number 3)
Change the name to OPL and move down the path1 and edit it, point it to mc0:/OPNPS2LD/OPNPS2LD-V1.1.0.ELF
8.Select Return and Return again, then down to SAVE CNF to MC0, choose Exit
9. Screen will go black then come back
10. Now load the newly created OPL from the menu
11. Go into Settings and down to BDM Start - Change this to Manual and move to the right to block Devices and Ensure USB and MX4SIO are On, choose OK, Move down to Save Changes.
12. Once saves choose Exit
13. Back in to Launch Elf and we need to copy the file OPNPS2LD-v1.1.0-Beta-1629-e20f2ee-bdm3.ELF from USB (Mass) folder to the MC0:/OPNPS2LD folder
14. Once done restart the PS2
16.REMOVE THE USB MEMORY STICK!
17.Back to Free Mcboot Configurator and choose configure OSDSYS again
18. Same as 7 but edit option 4 (simple media if you like)
19. Call it OPLBDM3 for example
20. Make sure the path is mc0:/OPNPS2LD/OPNPS2LD-v1.1.0-Beta-1629-e2.ELF
21. Select Return and Return again, then down to SAVE CNF to MC0, choose Exit
22. We should have a new option called OPLBDM3 from the menu, load that up
23.Into Settings and make sure "usb start device mode" is set to manual, choose ok, then save changes, choose Exit
24.Back into OPL and double check in the settings that point 11 is still the same (if not reset them back) click save and exit.
25. Down to OPLBDM and load it it up, click circle for games list and then X to load.
26. If you have a compatible SD card the game will load up.
I've not covered how to create an SD card here but its basically FAT32 formatted with 2 folders one called DVD and one CD, and you place any game image larger than a CD file size in the DVD folder, again there are videos showing how to do this, it basically you do it the same way as you would for a USB drive.
