Last year, to celebrate reaching my goal of speedrunning Battletoads in 15 minutes, I decided to commission an artist to paint a custom Battletoads themed NES and controller.

After asking my followers and friends on Instagram for recommendations, @zoki_64 on IG was mentioned numerous times as being one of the best out there.

The process was simple. He asked me to mock up the design and supply the NES and Controller. He then would do his best to turn my dream into reality. His skill is extraordinary as you can tell from the video and he takes great pride in his work.

The whole process took over 7 months, longer than we expected, but there were a couple unforeseen delays on his end. FUN FACT: My NES and controller traveled almost 10,000 miles round trip as I live in the U.S. and he lives in Slovenia (Europe).

It’s a masterpiece. I absolutely love it!
