My File Settings will not Save in Snagit or Camtasia! Tips anyone? 🤔

I use Snagit and Camtasia from TechSmith daily and find them extremely useful. That said, My File Settings will not Save in Snagit or Camtasia! It is not productive to have to change that directory every single day. Tips anyone? 🤔 One upon a time they did save, but in the last 4 versions it has been an issue.
