My First Binding of Isaac Game in 10 YEARS - What Changed?
I haven’t played The Binding of Isaac in nearly a decade, so I decided to jump back in with a fresh run of Repentance+. In this video, I use a secondary save file and see how much I remember about the game’s mechanics, from dodging enemies to managing item pickups.
During this run, I explore the familiar yet unpredictable layout of rooms, test out various items, and face off against some of the game’s notorious bosses. I’m rediscovering how the game’s mix of randomness and strategy keeps each run unique, even after all these years.
You’ll see me work through the basics again—navigating secret rooms, figuring out which items work best together, and handling some of the tougher challenges the game throws my way. It’s a straightforward look at the classic rogue-lite action that made Isaac so popular.
This return run is all about getting back into the flow of things, understanding any changes that have been made, and having a bit of fun with a game that defined a genre for many of us. I’m keeping things raw and unedited so you can see the genuine ups and downs of relearning this game.
If you enjoy watching a long-time player tackle The Binding of Isaac after a long break, please consider liking the video and subscribing for more runs and updates. Your comments and feedback are welcome as I work my way back into the chaos of Isaac.
