My improved latency, thanks to Smart Queue Management. - Bufferbloat - ADSL
For most people the default settings work very well, even in slow internet connection. Usually what you need to do is tuning the speeds until it gets stable enough. However for me is way different, I needed to tune a bit of everything especially in the download side.
Though, I still have some packets loss and occassional ping spikes up to 100 ms; if I wanted to totally eliminate these issues, I would have to limit my download speed down to 6.3 mbps. Which is very slow considering we are six members using internet in a daily basis. I prefer a bit of lag over extremely slow connection.
Internet plan: 16 mbps in download and 1 mbps in upload (ADSL)
