a copy of my petition description:
In 2024, Vocaloid fans in North America were overjoyed to find out that Hatsune Miku, a virtual idol, was going on tour overseas for the first time in years, which was being hosted by the anime streaming company Crunchyroll LLC.
All Vocaloid fans who bought tickets to the tour spent hundreds of dollars. Not only for the tickets, but for hotels and plane flights if they needed to. Everyone's hard-earned money was then thrown away when the first photo was posted of the Vancouver Miku Expo show, where it was a giant LED TV in the middle of the stage. We were not informed, or at least CLEARLY told that it would be a TV, and not the signature, iconic hologram. People paid to see THE Miku Expo, NOT a TV.
We all deserve full refunds for the shows that had a TV and not a hologram. As of right now, none of us know if the remaining shows, especially the one that will be held in Europe after the North America tour, will have this TV on the stage. We also demand that for future Miku Expo concerts, the Miku Expo team CLEARLY STATES if there will be a hologram OR the LED TV before purchasing tickets. Therefore we can make our own decisions if we want to see a TV or the hologram. We also demand an EXPLANATION as to why they decided to change it without telling us.
If we let this slide, it will happen again. It happened once during MikuPa in 2011, where they got a lot of backlash, and they didn't do it again until now. We have to make it clear that we will not put up with this.
thank you all for giving me the opportunity to host this petition.
