To fish you need to left click in the water (or a school of fish) and then again left click when there is a shock with the hook. Then, smash A and D alternatively.
0:17:05 - End of the first fishing missions and back to town
I also noticed that my microphone sound was very low, so fixed it in the settings.
Then we continue with other fishing missions from Bjorn.
