This is the last time I try to use that streaming site (and prolly not pay for another month lol)... or is it? I never learn.

How did Lana know what specific book series that Katarina reads? This ordinary maid is very sus. 🤔

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember in the LN with the scene of Alan and Mary confirming their relationship with each other. It was in Mary's perspective and she knew that Alan was in love with Katarina, but since he's a slow guy, she was trying to delay his acknowledgement of his feelings for Katarina. That's why she's disappointed in the fact that he said he liked someone else.

Wow. Finally got a transition for the box with grey overlay anime part of the afterthoughts. Pat on the back for editing Ike (but let's not forget about how she forgot to add any footage in the previous EP).

So to add about my feelings about the anime adaptation. I think the big part of my issue is how they handle the comedic and serious scenes. On the comedy side, I like them for the most part and the anime does it good. The serious side, that's where I feel like the anime's a bit underwhelming. Then there's the fact that it does cut out a lot of content lol.

For example, in EP 1 of season 1, we get a short description of Keith's backstory which is "He got bullied by his siblings before the adoption, and he got bullied by Katarina after the adoption. Then he became a playboy lol."

In a glimpse of a flashback, we see Keith staring at a bird's nest. Suddenly two kids (presumably his siblings) run up behind him and are like "Haha a bird. Let's toss some rocks at it." Keith gets reasonably upset and uses his magic. "Oh my god. You're a monster!" Boom. Trauma.

I actually went and read chapter 2 of vol 1 again to refresh myself and wow. Yeah, I can really see why I say the anime feels a bit empty to me. 😅 And since I did check, I realized I read vol 5. I haven't read vol 6 yet. Uh oh.
