Kingdoms and Castles is a game about growing a kingdom from a tiny hamlet to a sprawling city and imposing castle.
Your kingdom must survive a living and dangerous world. Do the viking raiders make off with your villagers? Or are they stopped, full of arrows, at the castle gates? Does a dragon torch your granary, your people dying of starvation in the winter, or are you able to turn the beast back? The success of your kingdom depends solely on your skill as a city and castle planner.
Strategically layout your town to improve your peasants' happiness and to attract new residents. Tax them just enough to fund your castle. Make sure your peasants are fed in the winter and healed of plagues. Build churches to keep them from despair and taverns to keep them happy. You can even throw festivals if you've built a town square! Send out wood cutters to collect wood, set up stone quarries to build your castles, and farm the land efficiently so your town can grow and thrive.

In this "Aurathas Plays" series, I will be exploring Kingdoms and Castles gameplay and showing off some Kingdoms and Castles strategy. In addition, I will also be focusing on viable Kingdoms and Castles tactics throughout the game. This Kingdoms and Castles gameplay campaign will be a complete Kingdoms and Castles playthrough that focuses on everything from the colony building aspects of the game to the survival portions.
We will also be playing through all of the late-game scenarios that can potentially arise in a Kingdoms and Castles gameplay series, which will consist of Kingdoms and Castles gameplay that will see us dealing with the rising expansion costs and potential food shortages. We will attempt to utilize Kingdoms and Castles strategy and Kingdoms and Castles tactics against all of those challenges throughout the Kingdoms and Castles gameplay sessions in order to hopefully survive against all of those issues.
To survive a Kingdoms and Castles gameplay series, you will need to be able to mix up your Kingdoms and Castles gameplay, Kingdoms and Castles tactics, and Kingdoms and Castles strategy rather than getting bogged down or overly attached to one particular approach. Viable Kingdoms and Castles strategy or Kingdoms and Castles tactics will require you to progressively manage all of your resources as the game can defeat you by doing more than simply starving your people throughout the Kingdoms and Castles gameplay campaign.
Your Kingdoms and Castles gameplay can come to a crashing halt just as easily due to a lack of timing and patience as it can from having failed Kingdoms and Castles tactics and Kingdoms and Castles strategy lead to bankruptcy. Also, be completely prepared to lose throughout a Kingdoms and Castles gameplay series as this game is extremely brutal and a Kingdoms and Castles gameplay playthrough can easily result in an eliminated kingdom at the hands of even low-level challenges. In any given episode of Kingdoms and Castles gameplay we could be brought low by one of a number of different foes.
When possible, I will also try to provide Kingdoms and Castles tips and parts of a Kingdoms and Castles walkthrough and Kingdoms and Castles guide throughout the Kingdoms and Castles campaign.
