MY RESPONSE... to the .EXE Community
1,700Today I woke up with a few notifications on my timeline and discord. Game Developer and also one of the workers of Sonic.EXE PC Port, Mr Yossarian has uploaded a video on his YouTube Channel called: "Luigikid Gaming is making the exe community worse (Sonic.exe One More Time)"
Since I wanna be 100% transparent here, I decided to react and give a response to his video. It really seems like some developers don't like specific engines (Not So Simple Sonic Worlds Engine) and want EVERYONE to learn programming and start everything from scratch! (Which is really impressive if you got such skill)
Still most takes seem a little toxic here. Having own opinions seem to be a problem, or whenever I compare specific games... instead of people enjoy each others work...some seem not to be soooo happy about specific games. In this very example it's about SONIC.EXE ONE MORE ROUND by Mr Pixel. And god, most things were mixed up wrong in this video. So I wanted to make my point very clear.
Also it once again proved me that most peole have no idea how it is to stand in the shoes of a YouTuber that is uploading daily videos for around the past 2 years...
Using specific key words or thumbnails is sadly what you have to do to survive on this platform. It's what the YouTube Game is...it's where the algorithm drags us...
Please take your time to watch my response, but know: I appreciate people that take their time to create games. Some better..some sadly pretty bad...but we all started somewhere right?
Toxicity never was the answer and I'm actually shocked how much Mr Yossarian was making devs like Mr Pixel down cause I said it's the best Sonic.EXE Game that follows the original formula. What I meant with this sentence is that it feels like a brand new REMAKE, a 2021 Edition of the first Sonic/Sally.EXE Fan game by MY5TCrimson! I think you really just didn't understand that completely, Mr Yossarian.
Anyways, no bad blood from my side, I still love PC Port, it is the best Sonic.EXE Game in my opinion and Sonic.EXE ONE MORE ROUND is the best new REMAKE (of the first Sonic.EXE Game from 2012) in my opinion. Other .EXE Games like Nightmare beginning are amazing on their very own. They introduced brand new ideas, multiple endings and so much more gameplay etc.
I will also continue to support games like PC Port, I wish the devs nothing but the best, and you are a huge inspiration to many. It's complimenting your amazing work!
Honestly. There are too many .EXE Games to judge them all and say they are the best... but if I say it in a title or in a video you should know that this is just the way I feel in the moment.
Example, Mario Odyssey is the best 3D Mario Game...still to me Mario 64 will always be my favorite...
IT'S OKAY TO HAVE AN OPINION! AND IT'S OKAY THAT PEOPLE GET INSPIRED TO CREATE GAMES!
