Hello Everyone,
Just my thoughts on the #ComicsPledge that is only being required/requested of men in the industry.
IMHO, this puts men in the industry in a disadvantaged state, puts the collective blame on them, and by not requiring this of women or people who fall outside the traditional gender binary, absolves them of any guilt and robs them of agency.
This is Sexism 101 IMO. Sexism will not solve the toxic behaviors and culture that exists in the Comicbook Industry.
Don’t take this pledge, it helps nothing.
