For the record i actually wouldn't even be interested in hacking my PS3 if Sony would FINALLY add mkv support to the PS3 (hint hint sony). i'm a big fan of PlayStation games, and i have no interest in piracy of ps3 games; just homebrew, media applications/media codecs, and possibly the ability to run PlayStation 2 discs i already bought on my ps3 (you know, the other big feature Sony didn't put on the slim skus).
