My thoughts on using Cubase so far..
I recently started using Steinberg's Cubase 14 PRO and in this video I share my thoughts on what I think of it so far and the features that I've discovered.
Most of my producing time has been split between Pro Tools and FL Studio, and using each of them to their strengths.
In Cubase I really like the stock plug-ins that it comes with. It makes me feel much less reliant on 3rd party plugins, which is a plus!
To have accurate metering with different types was a godsend for me. To have that so conveniently built into the DAW is a huge win!
The piano roll doesn't feel sterile at all. After learning the shortcuts and workflow, I feel very creative in it and really enjoy the tools it comes with.
Chord pads blew my mind and I'm currently diving deeper into that!
How the mixer is set up its just a delight.
These are just some of the few things that stuck out to me, there are many more which I'll probably discuss in another video!
