This game is hugely underrated. Dubbed as one of the worst and ugliest games by many it's actually nowhere near this bad. And all this because it's taken out of context. When this game came out back in 1998, there was no Call of Duty, there was no Medal of Honor, there was no Vietcong. No Flashpoint, no Arma. Nothing. And this game really conveyed feel of jungles, all that Viet Cong Vietnamese speech, sounds of exotic birds, explosions, and it was hard as hell. You couldn't just rush through jungles, you had to carefully measure each step, employ some kind of tactics. And this game, along with movies Rambo 2, Platoon, games like Air Combat, Air Duel, made me fall in love with the country, which I eventually visited several times and explored throughly all the way from North to South. Playing it on Macbook in Saigon hotel room felt like childhood dreams came true.
