NAMCO TEKKEN 3 AND SOUL EDGE ARCADE PCB OVERVIEW AND GAMEPLAY

Welcome back to another video. In this video I wanted to show you my Namco Tekken 3 and Soul Edge arcade PCB boards running in my Sega New Astro City arcade machine. I have shown both of these PCB arcade boards on my channel previously but did not own an arcade machine at that time, therefore showed both games running through an arcade supergun connected to my 4K TV. This didn't do these classic games the justice that they deserve, therefore I decided to make this video. However, if you still wish to view the original videos, then please select them from the links below.

Tekken 3 is a fighting game, the third installment in the Tekken series. It was released in arcades in March 1997, and for the PlayStation in 1998. The original arcade version of the game was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 as part of Tekken 5's Arcade History mode. The game was re-released in 2018 as part of Sony's PlayStation Classic.

Tekken 3 features a largely new cast of characters, including the debut of several now-staple characters such as Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Bryan Fury, Eddy Gordo and Hwoarang, with a total of twenty-three characters. The home version included a new beat'em up mode called Tekken Force, as well as the bonus Tekken Ball mode.

Tekken 3 has been cited as one of the greatest video games of all time. With over 8 million copies sold worldwide, Tekken 3 is the fourth best-selling PlayStation game. A non-canonical sequel was released in 1999 and 2000 in arcades and then on the PlayStation 2, titled Tekken Tag Tournament. It was followed by the canonical sequel Tekken 4 in arcades and on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 and 2002, respectively.

Soul Edge is a fighting game developed by the team Project Soul and published by Namco as the first installment in the Soul series of 3D fighting games. Originally released as an arcade game in December 1995, an upgraded and expanded version of the game was ported to the PlayStation in December 1996. The PlayStation version was renamed Soul Blade in North America, Europe, and Australia.

The plot centers upon the eponymous sword, shrouded in mystery and rumored to offer unlimited power to anyone who can find and wield it; nine warriors embark on a journey to pursue a tenth who is rumored to have the sword, some to claim it and others to destroy it. The game was a commercial and critical success and was followed up with Soulcalibur in July 1998.

I hope that you all enjoy the video, and will feature more videos on other arcade PCB games in the future. Please Like and Subscribe for future videos.
