Well this came out a little better than I was expecting it to. I managed to do everything with particle systems except for one radial gradient behind the orb like center. I think it looks decent even if it's not behaving exactly the way it forms in the anime but I want to take another go at it. I would like the arms to lessen as the sphere forms for the initial swirling particles to fall into and become part of the sphere and the sphere itself needs work, I'm not sure how to get that final look where the particles are moving so fast they should just look like stripes, I tried to do it but spinning them faster didn't produce the desired effect so I have to think of a different way to do it or just create a 2D effect which I'm not opposed to just don't have any real great ideas right now. Still came out a lot better than my first try years back.
