NASA has begun research flights in support of the Quiet Supersonic Flights 2018 series, or QSF18, taking place off the coast of Galveston, Texas. This B-roll includes flight and control room operations at Ellington Field, research operations in Galveston, and in-flight footage of NASA’s unique quiet supersonic dive maneuver. This test seeks to validate NASA’s techniques and technology for obtaining community feedback data to the sounds of quieter supersonic flight.
