Now that we're done with Oda Nobunaga's story, let's continue the game with your local J-Pop star of the Azuchi-Momoyama period, Akechi Mitsuhide. Just like Nobunaga, he has both a younger version and an older version. His younger version's moveset resembles his moveset from the previous four games.

Samurai Warriors 5 is the fifth main installment of the Samurai Warriors series. It was first announced in Nintendo Direct 2021, and Koei-Tecmo announced that this is a "reboot" of the series. The game only covers the story during the Azuchi-Momoyama period, from the perspective of Oda Nobunaga and Akechi Mitsuhide.
