Honestly, I don't have the faintest idea of why Darius would let me take over the city, when he wanted it for himself. I mean, everything he did in the game didn't make sense. Cross' motivation didn't make sense, either. In the start, he doesn't catch me once, but twice, and then he lets me go, both times. Then, too, why would he quit his job after making the bust of the century with the destruction of the Blacklist in Rockport? In addition, what's up between me and Nikki? I know we had a past, but how involved were we?

It's like I said in the video, NFS games were never known for their outstanding story lines (which is a shame). With the amount of potential material I saw when playing this, and thinking back to the events of Most Wanted, this game could have had a unique, interwoven, plot that would've worked across three timelines (before the events of Carbon, what happened in Most Wanted, and then the present story line in Carbon).

The game was still entertaining, though, but without a somewhat feasible story to go along with the experience, it was more lackluster than anything else.
