Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 PC Version Working on Steam Deck Windows 10
0This was a pain to get working. Starting from a No-CD install of the game, I needed to use dgVoodoo2 to get it to be compatible with modern graphics cards.
Run dgVoodoo2, select game install top directory to Add, change settings as desired, then save. Finally, go in the dgVoodoo2 folders and copy the D3D8.dll from there, replacing the d3d8.dll in the game top directory.
I chose to use windowed because full screen is very buggy with the start of each race attempting to reapply resolution. 1280x800 is natively supported by the game, though.
And oh boy are there a lot of songs that get DMCA’ed. I still prefer the PS2 version of the game and its inclusion of the desert map.
