Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Corvette ZR1: All Most Wanted Races/Takedowns (HD PS Vita Gameplay)
17This playthrough is played in HD on a PlayStation Vita TV with a PS3 controller and no commentary. Any cuts made are done to cut down on repetition. The ONLY cuts made are as follows: after introduction race with Porsche to check recording, 1st race lost against Most Wanted #1, 1st race lost in "Chain Reaction", 1st race lost against Most Wanted #5. Otherwise, this playthrough was recorded in one session with no losses, stops or cuts other than specified. Intro and credit music replaced with copyright-free music from YouTube sound library, with outro music muted.
This is by no means a speedrun of Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012, but the unfortunate thing about this game is that regardless of platform it saves progress of speedpoints, so as far as I can tell this game can't be fully restarted using the same account. Therefore, past the intro this playthrough will be played only with a Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1, with all of its races being completed and upgrades unlocked. The goal is to beat each and every Most Wanted racer and take them down with just this car to the end credits. Also, because I have already beaten this game on the PS Vita before, there will be no trophy unlocks.

It's very odd: the PS Vita TV outputs at 720p, but OBS recorded at 1440p. Rendering the video out to 720p or 1080 resulted in lossless quality when playing the file from the hard drive, but it looked horrible on YouTube. So I tried rendering it out at 1440p and it is almost lossless quality on YouTube. Apparently there are different codecs YouTube uses; high traffic channels get the better vp09 codec as well as if you upload 1440p or above instead of the lesser quality avc1. Looking at older videos on the channel, videos with 1080p maximum resolution have the vp09 codec so either their standards changed between now and when more frequent uploads were last active or the channel has gotten demoted. I plan to be more active either way, but please excuse the needless 1440p setting; it is definitely not native to the PSVita. Similarly, I don't know if the game actually runs at or near 60fps natively, but the 30fps render did not look as smooth as the 60fps render despite the game frequently dropping frames. If not for testing so many render settings, the channel's comeback would have been a week earlier!

It is very impressive how well this game still holds up! Unfortunately, my PS Vita handheld was stolen along with the majority of the physical games I owned for it, so the few PS TV compatible games I have for my account I will get through and play for the channel before I sell the console. Hopefully this is not terribly disappointing content for some semblance of a comeback (unlike last time).
