57Rivals, as expected, is built around the confrontation between the police and reckless racers. The first catch up, the second run away. Everyone has their own tasks, special abilities and cars (the police, for example, have Marussia and Bentley Continental GT, and street racers have Audi R8 and Dodge Challenger). All cars are equipped with futuristic gadgets to help you survive the chase. Racers can drop mines under the wheels of their pursuers, use EMP and additional turbocharging, while cops can use a shock wave, air support, the ability to scatter spikes along the track or completely block the road.
Both those and others receive a special local currency for success - SpeedPoints, for which new "cars" are bought and old ones are improved. True, tuning is not available to the police. Racers don't have too much choice here either, but it's at least something: they can use different engine modifications, put on new wheels and unique license plates, change colors and vinyl decals.
