Update: I tried again and it just works now? Only difference is I changed one of my DNS settings to stop using Cloudflare. Could be a coincidence... could be that Cloudflare is a bad DNS (why would you betray us?).

Over and under 80 both affection/darkness all four combinations. Internet is on.
Also for memes tried without internet to see if it was backwards - game didn't care.
Tried changing how I connect to the internet - game didn't care.
Put the game on my laptop (which I use wifi on rather than a cable) - game didn't care.

Oh, I also tried fiddling with VPN... fiddling with Steam download server.
Nah... game didn't care.
...this part is strange since everything I've found regarding this bug seems to be regional.

Also tried with the affection uncap to 120.
Tried without stress 120 uncap.
Tried with 1 mil stream.

It gives Happy Ending to just about everything, I thought it was a regular ending when I was still figuring things out... only to learn it was supposed to be some super secret that only works if I cut my internet?! OK
